Need some help everyone. First time prius owner. I have a offer from a private party, for 2012 Prius II with 30000 for $17800 after negotiation. I checked the car and it looks to be in good shape with average wear/tear. Tires have 5K on it. This is in east Ohio. Is this a good deal? Should i go with this or get a new 2013? Dealers are not going below 22.8k here. I have never paid more than kbb (16.8k for very good) for any of my cars yet. So looking for some guidance.
at that price, I say go new. The regular warranty is about to run out. You get 2ys maintenance with a new car. Even if you finance the car for 5 years and with a 5k difference in price, you are looking at about $69 per month difference.
