This Rav4 EV lease is sooooo good, I couldn't resist anymore. My PHEV's barely 15 months old with 42K on the odometer! Gotta give 'er a rest.
Hi Dianne! Congrats on the new ride. I have the same commute (~45 miles each way) are you able to make it both ways on a single charge or are you charging at work? Thanks. iPad ? HD
James, I just bought it today, but have tested this commute several times with our TRAC car and only once did I suffer a tad bit of range anxiety... and that was my own fault. I left work not fully charged, and I did a few errands and got myself low and figured I would trickle charge when I got home... and then I forgot! I solved that by coming in a tad later, which is do-able for me, and plugging in next to my local Starbucks and relaxed for an hour catching up on my online WWF and WordFeud and Drawing games ... so it was no problem. My next purchase is my charger online at Amazon. The one I recommend to my own clients. Hey, I do ship cars, so if you're thinking to take the plunge, just call me! I am so excited about this car for SO many reasons!
You sold my friend one and I love it. I am just worried about range. I also like to be comfortable in these California summers and wonder about a/c use affecting range. I wish there was a place to rent one here in Fresno! iPad ? HD
Diane Congratulations. Great to see you drinking the cool-aid What flavor is blue!?! I have a quick question that might interest fellow New Jerseyans... I was searching a state website that lists EVs that are exempt from NJ sales & use tax. The 2013 RAV4 EV is on the list! Does this indicate an east coast roll out? Edited to add source: Click on model year 2013... NJ Division of Taxation - Sales Tax Exemption - Zero Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Cheers Jim
No, this car won't be sold in NJ. Just in CA. I'm shipping these right and left to other states... Oregon has 0 sales tax. WA state, 0 sales tax on EVs... and NJ as well. If I ship one of these to NJ, the lease doesn't have slaes tax added to it. And, hopefully, no sales tax on a cap red.
Pics or it didn't happen?! ROFL! Trust me, it's happened!! I'm the one who's gonna turn this fabulous car in at lease-end with 90,000-100,000 miles on it!! (I kept the PHEV for longer trips)
There's a very interesting tale behind that video. It was a few days of hard work. I really did produce it but had some seriously talented help in the making of it. Thank heavens for friends like Linda Weidemann and Russell Frost, two talented Prius experts! That video won me a contest.
