Offered a decent price discount on a v Five, but still somehow thinking there may be changes/updates to the 2014 v , which I heard will be in showrooms mid October. Anyone near of any changes/updates/refresh to the 2014 v ?
No I haven't heard anything. Better driver's seat and better standard speakers would be nice. Perhaps Toyota could pull a rabbit out of the hat and give us a plug-in lithium battery option. Most of the reports suggest changes in 2015 but they could be to the standard Prius since it's current generation started in 2009. The talk for that car is lighter weight, more aero, possible 4wd, new suspension, 60 mpg, and perhaps 22 miles in EV mode. Enough to make me wait but I already have an 08 and a 12 Prius v.
I don't use it but there are instructions online. The short version as I know it is download the Entune app to your IPhone or Android phone. Register on Toyota's Entune website. Use a usb cable (mostly) only for the car to IPhone or use Bluetooth for the Android car to phone. Apparently an IPhone with a hotspot option can work wireless. There are also flash drive updates of the car system available from Toyota. Since you just bought, I'd get your dealer to show you how.
Thanks. Didn't use the wire before to attach to my iPhone. Do you k ow about the Bluetooth? Will the car pick up who's phone is in the car, mine or my wife's without having to manually switch?
I do have the ATP, but my entune works best via bluetooth. Once you set up multiple phones, it will try to connect to the last phone it was connected to. So if you and your wife are there, it is possible that you'll have to manually connect the one you want if it isn't the right one. Not hard to do though.
When I'm in the car and my wife isn't , it won't connect with my phone unless I go to phone, Bluetooth, choose device and tap on my phone
