After setting TPs to 41F/40R and resetting the TPMS via the under-dash button, and driving the v5 around, I still get the intermittent then constant TPMS warning indicator. It's not the TPs. Perhaps it's the TPMS sensors? Any ideas? TIA.
I'm just guessing but did you check the spare? My RAV4 TPMS light would come on when the spare was low.
The would be correct according to the manual. When you use the reset button, are you sure you're getting the confirmation blinks on the dash?
I checked the spare and it has a rubber valve stem (and was inflated to 50). I don't get the three confirmation blinks; it is already blinking from "GO", when I try to reset it.
Are these the original wheels? The system must be reset with the vehicle in the "On" state, not with the hybrid system running. Leave it in the On state for a few minutes, then shut it off.
That's the problem. Keep your foot off the brake, push the power button twice. Now you're in "On" mode but the hybrid system is off. Same as turning an ignition key to on without starting the engine. The dash lights up and everything is on but the hybrid system. Pushing it just once gives you the "ACC" function with only audio and apps. You should also have a solid orange power button.
No joy. Single push gets me an orange button LED but no indicator lights or beeps. Two pushes gets me an orange LED, a full panel of lights, a flashing TPMS light, no beeps (other than seatbelt warning), and no reset.
I guess I have to refer you to the manual under the "do it yourself maintenance" section. there's no beeps involved.
TPMS light is no longer illuminated... After previously failing to respond to either calibrated tire pressure matching or reset button...
