Picked up a new 2013 Level 4 in Nautical Blue yesterday in Colorado. We drove it to our kids place in California and arrived today! Already 1154 miles. Averaged 52.6 for the first 911 miles across the Rockies into Nevada using some hypermiling techniques on the interstate. We love the car especially the stereo and its versatility.
I just got my 2013 Silver Prius 3 on Thursday. Big learning curve due to all of the technology. So far I have driven in ECO mode 99% of the time whether on back roads or highways. The acceleration is quite adequate unless you need to be a hot rod. It is no more sluggish than the 2009 Corolla LE I just traded in. In most situations, I am doing nothing special and ECO mode keeps me over 50 MPG. My best trip on back roads going home from work last Friday evening was 56.9 MPG (normal driving). Using the route I take most often which is 85% highway, I am typically getting about 50.6 MPG. So far I am LOVING the Prius. The solar roof option is cool (no pun intended), It's nice to not have a blast furnace hit you when you open the door after the car was parked in the sun.
