I am looking at a 2008 with just over 37,000 miles. They are asking $14,987. It doesn't say which model, but the mileage looks great. Maintenance records are all pretty standard - any suggestions? Buy, run??? Thanks!
Check the Kelly Blue Book for values and compare the car you are considering against the KBB values. www.kbb.com The Model is important because car values are different based on model. Model determines factory options. The difference can be 6-8 Thousand at original sale, and a few thousand at resale. If you have the VIN Number you can log into a Toyota site and punch in the VIN # and get the service history, recalls, and I believe the model Service History Online - Toyota Owners A Prius at 5 years old is typically worth 50% of the original Retail Price. The car you are looking at has very low miles. Is it a dealer selling the car or a private party? If it's a dealer is it a Toyota Dealer? Is it a Toyota Certified car. Typically Toyota sells Certified cars under 75,000 Miles with a extended dealer warranty. Those cars can retail for more than uncertified cars. Gabish?
seems like a pretty good deal. take it for a long drive, reset the mpg's and see what it's delivering, then report back here. all the best!
Hi! The car is at a dealer, not Toyota. It is Motor Trend Certified so it has a 6 month 7500 mile warranty, 1 year dent removal, etc. I went to look at it and it is in beautiful condition. It is a base model - no back up camera. If I get it, I have 6 months to take it to a Toyota mechanic and have it checked out. I'm really leaning toward getting it - my 2003 PT Cruiser is killing me on my commute gas wise and starting to have problem after problem.... Terri
