I don't have one but see Rav4 EV 2012/2013 COMING! | PriusChat. Tony seems pretty happy with it so far. I think he likes its range a LOT better than his Leafs. Thanks - today I decided to take the plunge, and got one- I really like the way it runs and they gave me a decent amount for my pip, and I sure do love having the extended electric range
Day 1 with the car was great. Did not feel the. Compulsion to make sure that I always had as much of a charge as possible. (First thing in getting to work i used to plug in right away to try to start the work day with a full charge) One thing I do notice is that going up hill. Does not seem to use as much of the electric range like in the pip. A strange problem I have is pulling the lever to open the charging door. Doesn't seem to work and I have to pull it several times before it opens for me.
Yes still loving my new RAV4 EV - here is a link where I shared a little more on how it's been going. Gave the EV a day of rest today oh yes, here is the link - Thank you Prius Chat Plug in Forum | PriusChat
I made the jump recently to the RAV4 EV from a Gen II Prius and am loving it! The price, power, range, and roominess is what pushed me from looking at a PiP or Leaf into an SUV sized EV. I've been driving Hybrids for over a decade but am very pleased with the state of EV technology. Hopefully I won't run into any scary battery issues or anything else down the road though.
Well... I took the plunge as well. With the 10K cash from Toyota and a great trade-in price on my 2012 PiP advanced that pushed me off the fence...I bought the Rav4 EV and have never looked back. Miss some of the features of the advanced Prius like DRCC, heads up display and power drivers seat/full soft tex seats... even the lighted charge plug but I sure like driving a pure EV. Not quite as efficient as the Prius in EV but the performance of the Rav4 EV is amazing and it's a lot more fun to drive. Moving down the freeway at 65-70 in a pure EV is a blast!
