Charging question

    Hello.

    New to Prius chat. I was wondering if charging the battery before running out EV would be bad today I recharged with 5 EV left. I know I'm losing out on those 5 miles I'm more concerned about the life of the battery.

    As you know (or maybe not) the charging electronics in the PIP charges the battery to only about 85% of full capacity and only discharges to about 20% to extend the battery life. So charging the battery with 5 miles EV left wouldn't necessarily damage or shorten the battery but would benefit the battery IMHO.:D

    Charge any time you would like no problem at all. The battery does not keep any memory, So Charge away!
