Newbies - Let's See Some Pics!

We are replacing our beloved 2000 VW GTI w/ 5-speed & 1.8L Turbo with a 2013 Prius C Two. I've been surprised that the Prius C is as fun to drive as it is. The GTI wins hands down in terms of road-feel, performance, and cargo space, however, the cost of operation (fuel + maintenance + repairs) for the experience is high. The time had come for a more economical and reliable alternative for city commuting and weekend day trips. The research pointed to the Prius C as a worthy contender, and adding to that our neighbors each have a Prius and love them, along with the wonderful discussions in this forum, all helped tip the scales in favor of the Prius C!

The windshield is tinted with 3M Crystalline 70%. CR40% for all other windows except for rear lower window which was blacked out with 3M Colorfast 5%. The sides look darker because of the front window tint reflecting sunlight.

This car is perfect now for everyday driving in SoCal and my trips to Vegas. Heat rejection is maximized with 99%UV protection. I do not feel the sun on my arms when I drive and no longer need a sun shade window cover to keep the cabin cool.

Paired with my Entune Remote A/C control, this car does more for me than my MB GL450 which gladly I traded in.

 

Since I don't have my Prius yet, I can't post a pic. Even tho i am a newb here, i am far from a toyota newb. I have owned about a half dozen w/ my latest is an 04 Scion xB currently w/ 184k. Living on the east coast presents its own challenges since I customize just about every car I've owned and my new Prius will be no exception. I'm counting on getting some great info from the threads I've already looked @. I am hoping to get a C2 b4 too much longer. just trying to get some ideas on modding it for now.

You have a good eye. It's in downtown St. Helena which is known as the "heart of Napa" and for its early 1900s architecture.

 

Haha, I think I used similar words in April 2008 when I traded in my Tundra for the touring package. I remember the feeling. Nice Pics. My wife turned in her Jeep Liberty with 137K miles on it for the same car, PC3 (same color too). Hers has a sunroof. Congrats!!!!

PS: She enjoys the PC3 goodbye notes telling her it cost her 44 cents to travel to work or home...

Happy to share the picture of my new Prius III Persona. Bought it couple of days back..

 

I bought my Prius Two on Thursday. This is my first post on here. I read a few of the threads before I bought one. So far I love it! I'm averaging 50.4 mpg as of today which I'm stoked about. I drive all the time for work so I will be happy to start saving some money on gas. Here is my new baby! I don't know why when I try and upload the pictures they are sideways. If a mod could fix that or tell me how to fix it that'd be great.

Also I wanted to get weather tech floor mats the form fitted ones. Does anyone know where to get them for a little better deal?

The only other thing I wanted to do was to get some tint on it. Do y'all have any suggestions on that front as well.

Best deal I found on the WeatherTech floor liners was from the manufacturer.

 

Thanks! I'm ordering them Monday and dropping my car off at the dealership Monday for my leather! Too excited! Worth the extra money IMO.

 

Love the trek theme...... maybe I'll see it at a convention in the near future....
