This is hilarious. Are these people aspiring race car drivers?

I may be wrong but I don't think that is the point. The point is if car A has slightly better MPG but handles worse or has a less comfortable interior than Option B, then many people will give up the slightly better MPG t have a better all around vehicle.

Also, there are other cars in the market, not just Prius!

I did, I bought a Toyota Avalon hybrid, dropped to 40mpg but have a major better car in every way other than that loss of 10mpg. More power, luxury room, handling, you name it.

There's tremendous excitement for cars I would never purchase just because of who makes them.

Lots of sales are missed to cars that excel in things besides MPG.

Heck Toyota is its best own competition!

As I type, I'm sitting behind a Kia hybrid... Everyone and their mothers dog is in on the action!

The prius is no longer something special, just the best most reliable economy car but at a near luxury price.

It is what it is... Us fanboys make it into more than the public does in large.

Yep, Avalon hybrid; 40 mpg on regular gas, Fiat 500; 30 mpg on premium fuel.

well, judging by how accurate the artist's rendering was for the prius c, safe to say we have no idea what this car will look like. One thing is for certain: anything stylish or edgy will promptly be eliminated.

Still sad how they destroyed the prius C concept design.

I may be wrong but I hope the 14' Prius is a short model year as others mentioned as a possibility. I have an 03' corolla with 205k miles, its my first car and it still runs okay but I've been waiting for the new Prius G4 to upgrade. Got my wife a 13' Prius 2 and love that car so really hope the G4 is even better.

Anyone able to point me towards a "Prius C Concept Design." I looked on the Prius C Forum and could not find a depiction.

Thank you markabele. I had searched for it on PriusChat, and had not found what I thought I should find.

Prius c is positively foul to me to sit in. Steering wheel points up towards the ceiling, won't tilt down. Too bad Honda doesn't build hybrids very well cause their interiors are ace.

At least floating bridge buttress waterfall console is good for something; providing a lower edge to clamp board on (see 2 posts above) to keep knee off of it. With or without foam pad, situation below stinks. I thought this car was supposed to be about saving the most gas by putting the greatest number of drivers in it. How does experimental console design support that effort??

In their place I would just increase the battery capacity of the Prius plug-in. Currently the price of the plug-in is way too high for the electric range offered.

I understand there may not be enough place for a bigger battery, they would have to fit it in. After doing that, reduce the price by 20% and everybody will want one!

I hope you will forgive me for 'tweaking' your post. Actually, I agree: The battery, or at least the range, needs to be expanded in the PIP. But is the consumer willing to give up a 5th seat to accommodate a larger battery? Not too sure.

Certainly, the price is too high for what you get. Wouldn't the PIP Prius be everyone's dream machine if the electric range was extended and the price was lowered 20%?

Nope. The target is always moving. 13 years of Prius support make that quite clear.

The size, price, speed, power, emissions, and efficiency of the current Prius is the dream machine compared to what I first purchased way back in 2000... and that Classic was a clear improvement over the original.

Improvement is on going. How much can be delivered at a specific price-point is the constant.
