Just got out of a lemon Ford Focus Electric (don't ask ) Looking at the C as the next logical ICE based on MPG's...I need help! Those of you that have a 3 or a 4 sell me on your car!!! Why should I choose the 4 over the 3? (only diff for me are the seats) ALSO: If you'd be so kind and tell me the price you got for your 3 or 4 !!! Thanks
For me, I required Softex heated seats and mirrors (hate the cloth, love a warm tush), moonroof, and Summer Rain color. This was available. Do you mean how much I paid? About 23,880 out the door last July. No regrets here!!!!
Just as ChinchillaGirl posted: 1. Seats: I can't stand the big white stripe where I seat on. 2. Softtex and heated seats even though I use it only a few times in winter. 3. Heated mirrors but haven't used it yet. 4. Fog lights: changed to HID for both driving low beam and fog lights right after I bought the car. 5. I paid around $27k out the door last June.
The three was good enough for me, didn't need the Softex heated seats. The three had everything I wanted from the smartkey to Nav system. Heated mirrors would have been nice though. Also the smaller 15" alloys gets better MPGs than the 16" alloys, and it was easier for me to find a 3 that had been upgraded to them over a 4 that hadn't been upgraded out of them.
I went 4 for the fogs. The heated seats were an added bonus. Never thought I would use the heated mirrors, but once I actually used them and realized how convenient they were, I fell in love. The Softex is meh... if you like it you like it... if you don't you don't. I paid $22,858 out the door.
It's a great party trick. A tight turn freaks new passengers out almost as much as the first EV roll forward.
With my (super shedding) border collie, I did not want a car with cloth seats again. I also wanted the heated seats, heated mirrors, and fog lamps. So, the 4 was a clear choice for me.
I'm also a pet owner and have always had leather seats. I have enough pet hair on my clothes, I don't need it all over my car seats too! Softex was a must for me.
This car stickered for $23k ext warranty and taxes blah blah blah. I got the car right after it came out. I actually had to wait for it to come in from japan.
Ok, that makes sense. When these things first come out they tend to run higher than when they've been out for a while... Such is true for most things, I guess.
