When I purchased both my Prius v and Prius Persona. I was told by the dealership to get LoJack. "What?" was my response.

How many Prii have you heard of that have been stolen? Me none.

In fact, I've heard that the Prius was the most unwanted car by thieves:

So the question has to be asked:
How many of you have ever gotten your Prius stolen?

Broken into is one thing, but I want to know if someone ever took your whole Prius.

Greatest risk seems to be walking away with the keys left in the center console....

The SafetyConnect system is what Toyota calls "lojack". It allows them to locate and disable the car. But I doubt anyone would be able to steal it in the first place - barring owner error.

I don't think it would be possible (if at all) to hot wire the prius. It only happens on a movie, I think it was in the Continuum TV Series 2nd. or 3rd. episode when she open and start the car because it was all electronics.

Thieves can steal anything. Cars can easily be loaded onto a wrecker if positioned correctly.

Yes, Hotwire would not be very easy. Especially with electronic steering wheel locks.

Maybe not as hard as you’d think. On my gen 2 I’ve noticed a particular order of plugging in wires in that block that attaches to the positive post of the aux battery can sometimes turn the car into “on” mode. Never “ready” mode but it seems pretty close to there just by accident

also the previous commenter is right. Tow trucks are by and large the preferred method for car thieves nowadays. Unless stealing a 91 Honda or having access to some expensive transmitter technology .
