I am starting to notice Prii everywhere now that I own one...

Hahaha...me too...I notice a lot of Prii too. Sometimes I'll count how many Prii that I see on the way home from work. Here in the Seattle area, I counted 27 Prii in a 22 mile drive. When we had the rental Prii on a trip to L.A. (before I become an owner), I counted 52 Prii in a 45 mile drive. They are popular cars indeed.

Yea, so far it's been like Falling Skies, a lot of talk and that's about it.

 

Noticed a few in Maui on vacation but plenty in California

 

I noticed that too. I also noticed the Woman Deputy drove off in it at one point. Hmm, I wonder if she had the Fob, lol.

If that's not the truth. I've had mine for ten days now and now I see them everywhere here in Houston. I can't believe every family doesn't have at least one in their household.

 

We got a ton of Prii in NoVA...I think we are ranked in the Top 5 Prii states, which is whacky because we are much lower in the list for regular cars.

Orginally the reason might have been HOV access, but we lost most of that incentive, so now its just popular. I am curious to see if we stay up there with the new fees and near-zilch HOV incentive. Hard to believe only1% vehicles are hybrids when you live here.

 

Gas just jumped to $4.19 and I see a lot of Prius's on the street and a couple of new ones on driveways in my sub-divison

 

Drove to a meeting yesterday and parked in 1 hour guest parking. When I returned to the car noticed 3 Prii in guest parking.

 

I see some each day here (Indiana), but when we were on vacation in Delaware, I was really surprised at how many there were. In the beach town we were in, they were everywhere. In our complex alone, it seemed like every other space had a Prius in it.

I was blind to how many Prii there were here in LA until I got one... thought I was a bit ahead of the curve, but nope, I'm a late comer. They are close to being standard issue in California.

 

You got that right. And more so in Santa Monica. The old rule was that you couldn't spit without hitting a Mercedes or BMW. Now it's a Prius. But note that Mercedes and BMW are manufactures. Prius is just a model.

But it's very slow to hit Las Vegas. I was there over the 4th of July weekend. I got pretty good MPG due to the heat. Maybe the battery life and long term heat don't mix? The other possibility is that there really isn't that much disposible income in Las Vegas to afford the Prius (versus something like the Honda Fit at half the price)?

There are four in my gomex within 40 feet of each other. While i dont't know anyone else i know the other drivers. And all four sane gray color.

 

Yeah, I think that happens with every car I buy.

That said, we are absolutely silly with Prii here (college town). I realized yesterday on the highway that I was #4 in a line of 5 Prii of various colors/generations.
