how many miles /km to break in a tyre some searches i did say 100mile....another 500miles....others 2000miles anyone have any experiences to give us....so i/we will know what to expect?
When I have bought new tires, I simply drive to a road with mile markers or use a GPS to figure out the calibration constants. A new tire will typically have a slightly larger diameter causing it to turn slower. This gives the illusion of lower mileage. Then every 5-10,000 miles, I'll recheck the calibration constants. As the tire wears out, the diameter is slightly smaller giving the illusion of greater fuel efficiency. . . . At least that has been my experience. GOOD LUCK! Bob Wilson

Its debatable whether such a thing as "break-in" even exists with tires. But if it hasn't happened in 1000 miles it probably won't.
thanks...... what i'm trying to find out is what to expect? and what peoples personal experience is. ie ...did anyone notice anything signifiant after 500 miles...or 1000mile...or 50 miles with mpg...or grip or handling.... or whatever
The higher tire wear, the higher MPG. There could be some anomalous traction and fuel efficiency ("break-in") in the first hundreds of miles, but not always.
