Local 2007 Prius for sale, i believe its a package 4 but im not 100% sure. 59k miles and appears to be in good condition with a few small wear issues on interior. Guy is asking 13k. I offered him 10k based on what im seeing as sold prices on ebay - factoring mileage & condition as best as i can. Seems like its not that much of a lowball but he got insulted. it was purchased in 06 so its a 7 year old Prius. Is my offer unreasonable ?

could be on the low side

the dealer only gave me $6500 for my 2007 Prius (package 4) - it had almost 100l miles

then they advertised it for almost $14k - I head it sold for $10k to some auction house

Edmunds listed this about $10.5K for private party, not too far off.

Depends on what you can get a comparable one for. The market value is based on replacement cost. The value to a specific buyer is based on personal criteria. The value to a seller is often based on emotional factors.

I am on the market as well. I think $10K is a good price for buyer, especially for the mileage and package. I may pay $11K if body perfect.

Ok so I'm not crazy out of the ballpark maybe a bit on the low side. But interior is dirty (cleanable) with a few small defects like loose fabric on armrest and some small nicks in the seats that kinda look like cig burns but there's no cig smell

I'm in Iowa where market for higher priced used prius isn't very good. There aren't many of them and the few I see have been listed And resisted over and over.

Doesn't matter when it was made matters what the title says.

I have same car same mileage. Mint interior no smoke and wet okoles covers since new. I would ask $14 take 13.5 if I sold it. But very clean car & hyper maintenance.

A less babied 07 car with poor maintenance and crappy smoked interior and not so good tires is more around $11.5.

$10 is little low ball. But hey never hurts to ask. Especially if you have it with you in $100 bills.

I wouldn't be insulted at any price during a negotiation......its bid ness.

Would you really expect to get that much?

A local Toyota dealer has a 2010 package iv with 105k miles for 15,900 before negotiations.

Yes my car is mint. And hyper maintained. No squeeks, clunks, rattles, buzzes. Chassis lubed all its life. Brand new under and over. Garaged. All I have to do is wait till gas spikes back up hard and I would go up another $1000. You can ride that bandwagon quite nicely if played right.

I would never buy a used Prius with 105K miles. That car was driven very hard. Unless I saw crazy maintenance with proof. If the trans fluid was never changed in 105K wouldn't touch it. If I saw one cigarette burn I wouldn't buy it. Because anyone who does not care about there own health sure as hell won't take car of there car.

For 16,000 I'd buy a real nice Camry and have alot less worries.

I don't buy used cars that were smoked in becasue they were owned by an idiot. That mantra has served me very well over my life time.

I just bought a 2007 Prius with 48k pkg 4 - guy had it at 14900 - we made a deal for 13750. It is in great condition and clean - maintenance records to prove and all new tires. In NJ I've been seeing Prii sell for $11k with over 100k miles and base pkg 2
