Does anyone know what appears to be a dark red light, about the size of a nickel, on the top front of the dash on the passenger side is? It looks like an alarm light or something but I haven't seen it flash. Possibly it could be a light sensor or something. If it is an alarm enabled light indicator, I'd love to get it flashing just to give the appearance of an alarm.
It should be a light sensor, I don't know all things that it does but I know one is to let the Climate Control know when you are in sun or the shade. Posted from my iPhone via the Tapatalk app.
Yes light sensor, it senses ambient light level and adjusts your dash lights accordingly. On models with automatic headlights, it switches your DRLs off and turns on your headlights when it gets dark enough. SCH-I535
....whatever you do, don't make it angry. (Light Sensor) ...cover it with something on a sunny day. You'll notice your dash light intensity change because "it thinks it's night time".
