The Tapatalk ad shows up on my Galaxy S3 in such a way that it can't be dismissed, it doesn't work, and it obscures a lot of the site. I've managed to dismiss it once (I think through a partial page draw failure) and it was gone for a week or two, but now it's back and I can't get rid of it. I'm never going to use it and it's hard to use the site with the ad in front of much of it.
Just buy Tapatalk. It's worth it, and if you're like me you'll never visit the forum from your desktop computer again. There are no ads in Tapatalk, and it's mobile friendly formatted, looks great.
This ad is non-functional and irritating. Even if I were inclined to look into it before, this ad has ended that interest - I'd never buy it now.
I gave in and bought the app lol. However, I agree that the ad was more than annoying and blocked the Google search box. SCH-I535
It blocks the alert box and the other drop downs at the top and none of the buttons work - the x is usually blocked by the PriusChat Shop link and the View and Install buttons don't work at all. You'd think that the company would at least want to make their ad function properly. I have no other problems with any website on this phone - just this one and the site is fine, the Tapatalk ad isn't!
Hit the X. It's not covered up when you aren't logged in. Sure, it'll come back in time, but at least the site is usable for a while.
I would never buy something that is so intrusive with its advertising. If it looks like the first image, then choose the Desktop view as shown in the second image, and it will make it look like the 3rd image.
The problem with using desktop view is that it'll be like that for all your other websites too. If you don't want that you have to remember to turn it off. But logging out and hitting the x on the ad seems to work - I haven't seen it since. When it does come back I'll just kill it again the same way.
