IT'S HERE...FINALLY!!!

    I finally got the call that my car arrived at the dealership today. My salesman came in on his day off even AND drove out to pick me up since I sold my car on Monday night. :)

    Thankfully, my dad was home and was able to come over to watch our daughter.

    My husband left work a little early and met me at the dealer to sign papers (joint ownership).

    I had worked out a deal on the phone with the sales MANAGER yesterday and he was nowhere to be found today. (Also his day off normally, but he couldn't even be reached by cell phone by HIS boss nor my salesman.)

    They had received 4 Seaside Pearl Priuses today (plus several other colors) and there was a bit of a mix up in which car was ours. Then the fiasco over the deal I had made with the sales manager. It took 3.5 hours from the time I was picked up until the time I left the dealer and we already had financing and I had already sold my car privately. That's the bad news, though. :p LOL

    The good news is I LOVE MY NEW PRIUS!!!! :D :D :D

    I got everything I wanted and the sales manager at the dealer today honored the agreement I had made yesterday. :)

    P.S. We put down our deposit on 12/3/05 and got the call on 1/27/06 that it was on its way with a VIN, etc. It was expected 2/2 - 2/6...that's what the "FINALLY" is about. :p

    That is one wondrous shade of blue as seen on my monitor---but it sure ain't seaside! Well, a little of it is...

    If the weather's anywhere nearly as nice down there as it has been up here (73 today, record highs two days in a row), you should have a nice weekend for DRIVING.

    Glad everything fell into place on your sale of the Corolla.

    Quite a week, huh?

    Jack - Yes, that's me and my huge grin! LOL

    I have an even bigger grin now after taking my dad for a spin in my new wheels! I put the MFD to the diagram and he was calling out to me every few seconds what the car was doing. It was funny! :D

    Congratulations Karin!!! :D Pretty color, I like how the Seaside looks in that picture. It's always an ever-changing shade of blue.

    Jennifer - It does change quite a bit! I hadn't realized that at first. When we went to test drive a Prius last Fall, it was Seaside and it was near my husband's Catalina Blue Camry. They looked very similar. Last night, when I pulled in next to the Camry, they looked very different. Today, my dad actually called my car purple. LOL Maybe a touch of periwinkle in the right light, but hardly purple. ;) I love it whatever color you want to call it! :)
