This silly little plastic piece under the front bumper. I know it's important because it keeps things from getting into the engine etc. but it's so easy to bump when parking. (Lesson learned!) It cracked and tore on me this weekend. Does anyone have any idea what it might cost to replace?
The front air dam doesn't protect things from getting to the engine. The bottom engine cover does that. I'm assuming you are referring to the air dam. It deflects air for better mileage and handling at faster speeds.
Thanks for your response! Are they connected? The front tore off and took the bottom with it, it seems....it seemed like all one piece. I can see straight through to the ground when looking at the engine now.
She mentioned parking so it should've ripped out rather gradually. OP, did ya pick up the pieces?? Galaxy Nexus ? 2
I hit a possum and mine came partially off. It was connected to a bunch of things, nothing a heavy duty scissor cant fix. I figured I would replace it and just damage it again anyway, so a few snips later and I was no longer dragging the plastic
