Here you go: USA National Gas Price Heat Map - GasBuddy.com Zoom in to see actual gas station prices.
$3.09 to $3.25 here. I typically buy Shell gas so it's closer to high end of range, but sometimes I'll have enough points at Kroger's to get $1 off per gallon at their gas pumps in front of the grocery store.
Considering the gallon to litres conversion if 1 to 3.78 and today's exchange rate of $1 CAD = $0.95 USD: $4.81 USD per gallon or $1.34 CAD per litre Here, in Montreal, QC (Canada)
Right now in the Buffalo, NY area its averaging $3.75 per gallon for regular gasoline. Hop the border and in Niagara Falls, ON I saw $1.23 CAD litre for regular. And for conversion, that's $4.64 CAD/gallon
87 octane is our mid-grade around here because of the high altitude. 85 is normal in the base areas, 83 is found around 10,000ft elevations. I put 85 in the Prius and it is $3.49 here for the Shell, which as always is about $0.10 more expensive than the average everywhere else, and the station in our neighbourhood is always a couple cents higher than elsewhere as well.
As mentioned by SKWCRJ, the Gas Buddy heat map is a great resource for price paid at pump. We have $3.41 at the cheapest no-name volume station but $3.55-$3.65 is Top Tier typical price. But what is more interesting to me is harder to get: I think we pay 7 cents local, that puts me at 42 cents tax per gallon so I am $3.60-0.42 = $3.18 before tax at the dealer. Those of you above quoting low prices, seems to me is possibly not EPA reformulated gasoline, and not Top Tier. Maryland and CA I think both higher gaso taxes on July 1. VA is reducing gasol tax on July 1, opting instead for higher sales taxes to fund transprotation.
Filled up this week for $4.27 a gallon in San Clemente. The upside is that it was my best tank ever at 57.7mpg.
Prices have gone up since original post. Typical spike before the holidays. Glad I drive the Prius iPhone ?
Firm here at $3.69 saying it going up for the holidays............... who can I call to thank them ??
I read today that gas in Langley BC had exceeded $1.50 / litre. Assuming my math is correct (1 litre = .264172 US gallons) that puts the price at $5.678 CDN or $5.46 US
