Front windows left open during a light overnight rain. Now all windows except driver's side will not move-- motors don't respond. I've read on an old post that they have their own switch, but does it need to be replaced (from a little moisture!) or something else? I cannot find any bad fuses, but I'm not confident I'm looking at the right one (#18, 20 amp, 'FWR Window'). 2009 model.
Datagrace, Could it be possible that somehow the window lock button got pushed down (or be wet & shorting that switch) which would make the other 3 windows inoperative from their own individual switches (but I think they would still operate from the master window switch cluster on the drivers door armrest)? Not sure. Neither the master switch nor the individual window switches work. If the lock button were shorted, do you think that's a different fuse than the window fuses? In the meantime, I'll check the window lock button. I didn't know I had one.

again, Datagrace, I'm glad I helped you save hours of troubleshooting. Some time set aside for reading of the owner's manual (if you have one) sounds like something that might help solve future problems. I'm not trying to be condescending towards you at all. You see, when I rented a Prius for 3 days about a year before I purchased mine, I spent each of those 3 nights reading the manual, then running out to the motel parking lot to try what I had just learned. If it was too dark, I'd just wait until the morning to try something. But I will admit that I have not picked up the manual again in the 9 years since that time, so I'm willing to bet that I've forgotten something in that time that I may have to refer to it again for in the future. I work at a car auction in CT that puts 3,500 to 5,000 cars through 20 lanes per week. In the hot summer, we need to get the windows down in a hurry before we even turn on the A/C so we don't faint, (while waiting for the compressor to chill down the coils). On some cars the window lock safety switch is designed to only disable the rear 2 windows (in case of children in the back) just at their own switches. However, in other cars all 3 non-driver windows may be disabled not only at just their own individual switches but also at the driver's master switch panel as well (probably to prevent the driver from accidentally closing an already partially opened window on a child's hand if he can't see exactly where the child's hands may be). I confess that since my children were grown & out of the house before my Prius purchase back in 2005, I had no need to use that switch, so I didn't know how the safety switch is set up. hey i think that is what happened to my controls except i have no door lock also my driver window works but no other controls help me!!!
