~ I'm considering trading up my 2008 Prius for a 2013 Prius v 5 with ATP... almost have my hands on one. But before I do, is there any information on the 2014 models in terms of new & improved features? I was told that the new models are due out on Sept. 18th. Thanks! Rob
I'd be surprised to see much of a change in the 3rd model year. FWIW, if you have access to a 2013 with ATP, be aware they are hard to come by and getting harder.
Thanks, regrimes. Hmmm, just got a call from my dealer (sounds so shady.) He can get a 2013 with ATP nearby but not in 'our color', or I could wait until mid-August and order a 2014, which, as you mention, could be about the same as the '13. What to do? What would you do? Rob
My 2013-v 5-ATP has 200 miles on it, what do you think I'd do? There were only 3 of them in my entire state, fortunately one had my colors but I was ready to go with different colors. I did a lot of searching on Toyota.com and I think it indicated there were about 500 of them in the entire USA. You dealer can ship one from anywhere, but you pay for the freight. Send me $36K and I'll go grab one and drive it out to you.
Lovely offer, rdgrimes, but unfortunately it won't be necessary now. We just popped on a black v 5-ATP that's nearby, rather than wait for the 2014 model. The black shouldn't be too much different than the Spectra Blue Mica seen at left, and now that we think of it, we're pretty excited about the change. Thanks for your help, Rob
The Prius v (as well as a hatchback/liftback) is a "fall-winter" car - so these are not out till Nov/Dec nowadays... too soon to ask right now!
I just bought a v 5 atp. It took a week for my dealer to find one with the interior color we wanted and the exterior color we got was our third choice. We love it. Seems right that they are harder to come by.
Well, I'll now have to update my profile for a new Pri-hicle. Last evening, we picked up our new 2013 Prius v 5 w/ATP (Black, Misty Grey interior). Negotiations weren't quite as good as I had hoped, but not bad. The dealer knew I wanted the car, and knew that they were somewhat hard to find if you have specifics in mind. We got a good deal, and did well on the trade. I can't say enough about Massey Toyota in Kinston, NC. Class act all the way.
Bought red with oak interior and ATP (exactly what I wanted) on Monday. 34,250 with 36mo at 0%. Love it. Previous 2005 and 2010(wife's) and my 2008 touring gave me plenty Prius experience. Hated Gen III center console. I am 6 foot, 350+ pounds so interior room was determining factor over Camry and Avalon. Bill PS: Contact me if you want Salesperson and KC Dealer.
