I'm not digging the pin stripy looking graphics at all. Looks tacky. I do like their shorty rear headrests though. I wonder why the Japanese get the shorter ones. They don't block outward view as much as ours. I'd rather have the standard Prius rims as well. They're lighter. The corner lenses without orange reflectors look cleaner as well. Add on power folding side mirrors with turn signals and yeah, Japanese got the better PiP.
In the US, we get these alloy wheels without the plastic wheeltrims. I believe the regular Priuses get the black alloy with plastic cover.
I don't doubt that OE Toyota plastic's pretty pricey - I put a plastic strip on the rear bumper lip at my last service to prevent sctratching. IIRC they relieved me of about £130 for that!
But we do get the power mirrors with the indicators, and those headrests look like mine now I've pushed them right down. In fact, I've removed the middle one and stowed it in the EVSE bay. And we get EV City, though I'd swap that for the extra 10mph before the ICE kicks in.
Bumped because I'm getting nerdishly interested in the differences between different countries' specs. In what way are the rear headrests in the US different from the Japanese ones in this clip?
