I found an out of state dealer in CT listing a certified pre-owned 2010 Prius III with Solar Roof/Nav Package, 67k miles, priced for $17k. Carfax showed one owner but no maintenance record, however I called them and they said they did all the maintenance at their dealership. Is it a great deal? Or too good to be true? The III upgrade and solar roof/nav package should be pretty expensive. Nav is not important for me, but I think the backup camera is very convenient. Around our area in NY a CPO 2010 Prius II with 50k miles is asking for the same price.
Bought it! $19k out the door with tax and fees. The front brakes, coolant and transmission fluid were replaced during the certification. One of the key fob is without the A/C button for solar roof package. It's likely the last owner lost one key fob and the dealership did not have/would not pair a A/C key fob to it. They said only one master key fob is included in the certified pre-owned checks, so it's actually a courtesy...
I just noticed a local dealer listed a certified 2010 Prius V with Advanced Technology Package listing for about $18.5k, 70k miles. It is Carfax 1-owner, a personal vehicle not a lease, but the first owner probably bought it as a demo (sold with 5k miles). Too bad I already bought my Prius III with Solar Roof... Consider the car was sold about $5000 more as new, and now it's just worth $1500 more... The depreciation is quite a lot! Anyway certified used Prius V with ATP is quite rare...
