So there were a few things in the C1 I didn't like but loved the price of, mainly an armrest and cruise control. I couldn't justify the huge price increase to myself or in a loan so I took the C1 happily and don't regret it to say the least. Have been wandering the net and found some on amazon however to pricey for me to try out until one of them dropped by half recently. I think it worked out well Link on amazon where I got mine: Leather Black Console Center Armrest for Toyota Yaris 06-10 2006 2007 2008 2009 2010 Brand New On Sale Big Storage Padding Latch Cover w/ Cup Holder : Amazon.com : Automotive were the 'cubby' so to speak is behind the drink holder there is a small space so you can still utilize it, and a drink holder does fold out from behind the arm rest which is pretty nice IMO. The screws that come with it are a tad to short however I'm thinking of some adhesive Velcro so it's removable in the future instead of putting holes in the oem cup holder. Just thought I'd share.
Looks good and matches your seat covers. Does it just sit in the cup holder? What are you planning to do for a cruise control? Rostra makes good ones. I have one of their's on our motorhome, replacing the original. Dan
Yeah, theres no removing of anything from the oem side. I ended up running out to the car with some velcro strip I had and put them around the circumference of the cup holder on the actual arm rest where it sits into the original and it's snug and doesn't come up. I'm sure if I pulled and tried it would, but I tested it with a full liter bottle over some nearby bumps and it's fine so no screws either. Cruise control has been an interesting issue and to be honest until you mentioned Rostra I was eying one on amazon for 200 but on summitracing they have it for 175 with shipping and I have a lot of faith in summit from my mustang days . Besides they have what appears to be through instructions on rostra.com for installation , I'm gonna email rostra and see if extra parts are needed for the c or if it's base kit is fine as the instructions mention extra parts for some vehicles.
Great. That thing looks great. I too have used Summit when we built my 289 in the 65. Great bunch of folks and usually helpful. That seems like a great price on the cruise too. I followed instructions and it worked first time and has not failed, since 05. You will have a nice car when you finish. Looks like you installed leather seats. We did that on our 2 and the leather steering wheel. We really enjoy our model 2. Did the automatic headlights last week. A must in my book for 30 bux or less. Dan
Automatics for 30?? I thought it would be more of in the 100s for that, now I'll be looking into that for a weekend project real soon I've been thinking of a leather wrap for the steering wheel currently just haven't found one that is less then 80 bucks that fits, find them for 50ish all the time for the suv though.
It sure does. Hard to believe it can be bought that cheap. Wish I knew it would fit between my ZX2 seats in the baja. I'd grab one. I bought the leather steering wheel from a dealer on here that gets them from Japan. Way too expensive but I wanted it. Sorriest wheel ever comes standard on the Prius C. Had a nice leather wheel on the Vibe gt so it was a disappointment to deal with the stock steering wheel. Dan
