Just thought I'd post these images. I bought the grey decals from Paul (pjdemmitt) in MD, and thought they really worked on the Silver. I particularly liked the way the decals almost disappear from the front and above, gradually coming into view almost like an engraving on the door. If anyone's on the fence about these, they're top-quality and Paul is an arteeest! they look great on the silver. silver decals would probably look excellent on the black as well. but i don't know what color i would put on my salsa (if i ever get it) that would have the same effect.
It's interesting how the contrast seems to change. In one picture the decal looks darker than the car and in another it is lighter! From an e-mail I had from Paul, he has white, grey, and black in stock. I think that a similar just a bit different match for the colors would be nice. Is there some way to post pictures of the decals as GIF's with a transparent background so that one could copy and paste to a picture of their car to help visulize the options?
That's exactly what I thought. If you notice, in the first photo, the decal is almost invisible. It seems that the close color match makes for some interesting effects due to the decals' reflective properties differing from those of the car. BTW...that third photo from the rear quarter...that's the spot that was rear-ended a few weeks ago. Legacy Collision (part of Legacy Toyota in Tallahassee) did a wonderful job. I'm glad I can post photos of my Prius in its like-new condition.
