Roof Rack Questions 2012 Prius with Solar Package

    I found a complete Thule roof rack system with fit kit for kayak on Craigslist. I have a 2012 Prius III with solar package and this system is from a 2009. Is there a difference in the two systems? Will that work on my car?

    I'm not too sure I'd put a roof rack on a solar roof. A gen 2 Prius has a different body.

    I transferred my Yakima from a 2004 to a 2010 solar...

    It worked fine, though I did have to change the clips.

    I have a thule roof rack fitted to the solar panel roof. Only thing is that you can't open the sunroof as the roof racks will interfere with any movement of the glass panel.

    Did you ever succeed in installing rack on solar roof and if so does the solar actually open with the rack installed? Thank you!
