Window Tint Cost

Tinted 9 windows for $120. Shop offered $90 for less quality film.

 

I think I paid like $250 last June. All but windshield done.

 

Not to ruin the mood or seem like a troll, but I just got a quote for $150 out the door here in California..

 

Last Friday, I paid $250 for all windows (except windshield) at King Tint in SSF

 

$220-$200 for 10 windows seems standard in Socal - If someone knows better... please chime in! I want to window tint my GFs new G3.

 

I paid $160 for 35% on all 9 plus 5% sun strip. I got the friend price though, the shop usually charger $275.

 

Where at? All 10 Windows?

 

not all tint are equal. hence, everyone can give you prices but its misleading. you can get super cheapo tint that is color unstable, will color shift, bubble, turn purple, etc. You have to compare apples to bananas. And not all ceramic are true ceramic.

so c$700 might be reasonable for top of the line huper optik with dealer's cut. huper is at least $400-500 in socal.

Got mine for about $250.00. Film, custom cut for the Prius V (machine template) and installed. 3 years later still looking great.

 

I think you do have make sure you are getting a good quality but dome of these prices seem crazy high. I got the above listed tint with a lifetime warranty. They did a GREAT job. Make sure you shop around. I got some ridiculous quotes as well People will take advantage of you, if you let them.

 

Looking around today at prices, do people normally do the wind shield as well?

 

By law in California your actually not allowed to have anything on the windshield or front windows at all...

I know this is a PriusV section but, just had my GFs White Gen3 done - $150 - They did an excellent job.

i don't think you'll get much grief if you tinted your windshield clear.

Just did wife's 2010 regular Prius hatchback last week. $160 with SunTek 35% sides, 20% rears.

 

$450 3M tint all windows including the front windshield and 3M Front Nose Mask/Clear Bra including the side mirrors

I live in FL and I found a Groupon for a local tint shop I've used with past vehicles. It's costing me $159 for all side (including the small triangle in front of the side mirrors) and rear window. They also quoted me $25 to add on the front windshield brow. They use 3m computer cut tint.
