So I know a lot of people like to black out there car emblems, but decided to go a different way. I have a white pc3 and have always liked black emblems especially on black cars. I figured since my car is white why not go with white. I did all my emblems except the Toyota symbol white today using white plasti-dip spray. Tell me what you guys think. I sprayed my hubcaps black and plan on doing window tint, and blacking out front bumper center in the near future and am wondering if I should do Toyota emblem black or white. Also should I change rear bumper guard white?
If you like it, cool beans. To me it looks like you sprayed the car and were too lazy to take the emblems off. If the point was to hide the badges, why not just de-badge the car?
Black on white looks good. Black on black depends since there are so many shades and glosses of black. Any that is all the same colour and is the same shade as the vehicle looks weird. Like a quick unprofessional paint job. If there was a sliver of chrome around the profile or even accent shading in something else might look more purposeful. The problem I have with it is that I don't get it. I like car mods and have a bevy of cars, quite a few modified. Exhibitor at SEMA at I fly in to help on custom cars around the country sometimes. So I understand modding. What is the purpose of all white on an all white car? The only reason I can think of is to hide the emblems. That's valid. But to hide the emblems just debadge... so again, what's the point? Maybe I'm just missing something?
I like the white worded Prius C but the Hybrid badge on the back, I think would look better with the wording still in color. Keep the rest of it white, but the letters in color. The rest looks ok.
I like the white emblems, but i agree they look a bit like a lazy paint over. Maybe a way to fix this is paint back in the colors for "hybrid synergy drive" and keeping the blue colors on the side emblems and the "C". so basically just replacing all the silver colors with white and retain the rest of the original badge colors for better contrast.
I thought you were going to put white backing behind the front and rear Toyota emblems, but you went a different route.
I took off the white on the emblems, and are now back to stock. Just did not like degenerate car got a little dusty the emblems looked realtime dirty. Think I will just debadge the car, I am just worried about holes under side emblems.
