Google thinks I'm 35-44. I feel young again! Also thinks I'm way more interested in cars than I really am; can't imagine why...
On the this WEEK in TECH | TWiT.TV podcast, they've brought up the Google glasses a few times. On a recent ep of Charlie Rose, former Professor Sebastian Thrun (behind the Google self-driving car project and led the Stanford team to win one of the DARPA driving challenges before) was on w/the glasses on. Interview at Charlie Rose - Sebastian Thrun. He didn't talk for long but talked about the self driving cars, the glasses and Udacity. Looks kinda like a Borg, eh? On the ep, he took a picture and from the glaseses and it's up at https://plus.google.com/111626127367496192147/posts.
Google will alert users to DNSChanger malware infection | Security & Privacy - CNET News Cool! Unfortunately, I suspect some folks might mistaken it for a phishing scam, malware, etc.
This is sorta Google related since they own YouTube and have Google Maps. YouTube Videos Near Me lets you drag a marker to a location and it'll show you YouTube videos that were tagged near that marker.
There is a setting for this with Google Earth also. Used it to get a real world view of the Colorado Springs fire. I have a cousin who does IT security for Google's executive offices. Been waiting years for some swag.

I thought this was interesting news today: Google parts ways with Apple over WebKit, launches Blink | Internet & Media - CNET News. Some supporting info from Google itself: Developer FAQ - The Chromium Projects and Chromium Blog: Blink: A rendering engine for the Chromium project. For those who aren't aware, the Webkit rendering engine is (for now) used by the web browers of virtually all the major mobile devices: Android devices, iOS devices, newer Blackberries, defunct webOS devices, even Symbian, just not Microsoft devices. This is in addition to Chrome and Safari on PCs and Macs.
The Internship | Official Movie Site | In Theaters June 7 that features Google is opening Friday. Nightly Business Report – Thursday, June 6, 2013 | Nightly Business Report at ~20 min covers Google's involvement w/the movie, which was a stark contrast to The Social Network and Facebook's lack of cooperation (not surprising since that movie skewers Zuck).
I saw a sneak preview of the Internship last week and I loved it. I would absolutely love to work somewhere that had a slide that you could take instead of the stairs...well, assuming that is really the case. I know that Google was already popular with applicants a while ago, but I have no doubt that the amount of applications will increase even more. Heck, I would work there.
