    Does the extended warranty pickup when the new car warranty expires or does it overlap and continue....makes no sense to overlap. Example: New car warranty is 36 months/36K. Extended is 7yrs/70k. At the end of the new car warranty, is the extended warranty continue for the purchased 7/70 ? Or is there only 4 years/24k left?

    You have 4 years 24k left. Most people would buy the longer mileage versions for that reason.
