Got on oil change for Padawon today. He needs a water pump in a few weeks too.

 

They're my good friends so they gave me a really good deal. They'll give you a discount if you tell them Phi with the white prius sent you! I don't know the exact discount but doesn't hurt to ask. I'm sure they'll give at least 20% off. Let me know what they say.

 

Between the 17s and those non-LRR tires I would expect you to lose around 6mpg or so.

 

I changed my style of driving today, tried the pulse and glide, and went from 5.9L/100km to 5.1L/100km

 

No imagine using P&G with 15" Energy Saver A/S tires.

 

Got an oil change and the back up beep reprogrammed. Was excited to find the reprogram was free and I got a $20 Castrol rebate.
Expecting UPS to drop off new wheels and tires early this week so scheduled installation, happy to find only $75 to swap TPMS onto new rims and mount/balance and trash worn out Yoko's. Can't wait; 17x7 gunmetal Drag DR9's and MXM4's.

 

Replaced the engine air filter and a burned out fog light bulb.

This is the third bulb that has gone bad on the passenger side in 90,000 miles. First was the stock bulb, second was a HID bulb, and third was a 2500k Nokya bulb. I inspected the wiring harness and they appear to be fine, no cuts, evidence of shorts, the weather proof sockets are dry.

Has anyone had any issues with the passenger side bulb burning out more frequently than the other?

 

Yup. That's the TSS edition sold by the gulf states toyota for the southern states. I don't think they've made a 2013 version but I could be wrong. They're probably priced too high tho for most prius shoppers. Sometime I wish I would have bought the model 5 instead of my TSS model 3.

 

Installed the new iPad mount my sister gave me for my birthday. It's sturdy and fits right in the cupholder.

 

I replaced the cabin air filter today and discovered that a mouse/rat made its way into my car

I really hope it's not still in my car.

 

oh no! probably going to want to get that guy out of there before too long.

how big is it? rats are pretty large compared to mice.

 

I'm making the assumption that it's a rat because the turds they left in my engine bay were much larger than mice sized rice turds.

 

You better get that rat before he decides your wiring looks like a nice snack. Then you'll really have some issues.

 

my center caps came in the mail today and they are clearly not going to fit. i didnt think there were different size Prius center caps...?

Happy Monday everyone. Just completed the JDM headlights with the expertise help of Rodney and Sean. This was a lengthy and tedious process but it all worked out. Big difference to me, with the LED eyebrow on the bottom. Can't wait until night hits...

 

Took the car to the body shop. The insurance adjuster has the estimate currently at $3,000. I'm now driving a Nissan Versa rental. I already miss my Prius
