My weekend toy when I don't feel like saving the environment lol. She's a 2012, 5.0. She's stock. Ok, I'm kidding on that too. Too many to list here. We'll call her stock for now. hehe. I think it's hilarious how I can drive so conservatively with Portia, then when I get into Marilyn, get out of my way... lol I drove towards downtown and found some good spots to set tripod camp. Btw, she is wearing Victoria's Red Concours at the moment. Then I have 4 diff't shots of the front. No lights, parking (white and fogs), parking (amber), parking (white).
I never liked cars that can't go around corners. What is the point of speed if it spins out on a real track? And I mean a track that is not just an oval. But I have my 1997 Prelude for small car speed, 1981 DMC12 for exotic speed and show, 2001 Civic for rice, and other cars for lounging. But if you like it, cool. I love that paint though. Great shine, great colour, looks superb. Really amazing. I have seen many other stangs and domestics with factory paint that have bumps and divets, almost like an orange peel wall, that distorts the shine and paint job to the point of it being a distraction. I would paint a car that colour, I have always like deep blues.
Going to Maui for 6 nights in July with my wife. She said I'm Looking at Car rental for the week and gave a List of car choices. I selected the Mustang GT Convertable. You only live once.
Thanks. However, your notion of unable to corner applies to the older generations of Mustangs. The new 5.0's kept up with an M3 on the track...reference an older Motor Trend article back 4 years ago. The notion that Mustangs are barges are now a myth. It's the reason why I got one.... I wouldn't get a previous generation.
Love those pictures!! Very nice car. Although, I wish it came in a hybrid. What kind of camera do you have? My Dad used to have a Shelby Mustang Cobra GT500 (same generation as yours) but I never got to drive it. I can't drive a standard transmission. It was nice to look at though. I hope you get to participate in Mustang Club of America local car shows as a member. I think yours looks fantastic and there is no doubt you would get some awards. When my parents used to collect them, it was always fun to go around showing off the cars.
Hooked on Driving Class at Thunderhill Raceway California. September 2010 A real nice road course with 15 turns in 3 miles.
So nice to see all these cool cars...somehow it makes me feel bad that I don't have a cool car to show off.
Wow... amazing cars guys. I guess I did start a "car pic" thread LOL. I'll post my Acura up next time too. Keep it coming.
My father had the exact car, same year, model and color in the 70's. I was thrilled when he occasionally let me take it on dates.
Few pics to showcase her swirlfree paint... sun shots on various panels. CG Glossworks Glaze via PC, 5" black CCS, speed 3.5, no pressure... After 6 hours, applied CG Blacklight via PC, 5" black CCS, speed 4, no pressure... After 8 hours, applied CG Pete's 53, by hand. Immediately did a CG V7 final wipedown.
