This may seem stupid, but I didn't get a manual with the 2010 I just bought and the A/C is driving me crazy. It always defaults to blowing on my face and feet and to recirculated air. How do I stop this? I set it to face only and non-recirculated air, but always goes back to the default. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'll set it the way I want, but after I turn the car off and start it again, it's back to recirculate and usually head/feet. That's without me touching anything anything except the start button. It also does it if I have set like a want and change the fan level manually. It kicks it to recirculate and head/feet. I don't know what the deal is.
All the manuals are here (enter Prius 2010) Toyota Online Owners Manuals and Warranty the manual for A/C is here http://www.toyota.com/t3Portal/document/om/OM47668U/pdf/sec_03_01.pdf Not from Toyota, here is a shorter manual John's Stuff - Toyota Prius User-Guide
Awesome! That's just what I need. I couldn't find why it likes to switch itself to head/feet, but I did find out why it keeps switching to recirculate in there. I leave the car in Eco mode, and apparently recirculate is the default for Eco.
Yep, in ECO mode it defaults to recirculate and lowers the fan speed to keep the A/C compressor from overworking and causing the ICE to run unnecessarily.
