I drove from Disneyland in Anaheim back home to Far East Mesa Arizona on one tank of gas, with 12 miles to spare! 382 Mile drive, Cost was $37 for the tank. This is when it really set in how awesome this car is!
Awesome.. you might have had even more gas to spare.. I found the fuel gauge to be conservative . my last bar had about 3 gallons left! That should be good for 120+ miles!
it's great having a car that pays you back, let's go places. I love it just as much when from the OC to Las Vegas and back one tank. AMAZED !! this is why we bought the Prius !!
Sweet! I drove from Banff to Vancouver two years ago on a tank (~850km/~530mi). I ended up refuelling at 955.1km. (That's through the Purcell and Coastal mountain ranges. I didn't count the Rockies cause Banff is kinda/sorta in the Rocky Mountains already)
What's even more amazing is that you're able to get even more mileage as u utilize certain techniques in driving. The car is capable of 500+ miles/tank while still being driven at reasonable speeds.
We are all happy to be a Prius owner. Absolutely no regret. No need to think how many more miles can I drive, where is the next/nearest charging point. We can really enjoy the pleasure of high tech. driving.
Drove to my brother's place in Va and got over 55 real mpg going down and over 57 coming back. No stopping for gas either way until I got to my destinations and the speeds were from 65 to 72 mph. Round trip was 865 miles. My TDIs never got that kind of mileage.
My buddy is always saying that " I would buy a Prius if it didn't look the way it does." I just tell him to walk backwards to the car and get in, that way you can't see it! ES44AC
i'm actually not a fan of the prius design, but that MPG just overrules any negativity i have about its styling. If I had it my way, I would want it in a coupe-like version with a wider stance. you can convince yourself that the prius is sexy, but take a look at the Volt concept when it was first announced. now THAT is the universal definition of sexy hybriding.
