Y'know, there's really no need to continue on like that, dude.
You don't like it, that's fine, move along.

Then dont look at it. BTW it isnt paint.
Didnt anyone ever tell you if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything?
It never ceases to amaze me that people like you think your opinion means anything to me. Do you think i will go out and redo my car? I am just glad you were out there to point out how ugly my car is.

Okay, I gave you grief about your tinting violations.
So I'm sorry about this before hand.

    But I don't like it.

It's just not enough. It's not adding anything. My gut reaction when looking at it, 1st, " What's that?" followed 2ndly by " Why is that?". I think it makes the roof line look unnecessarily busy. It kind of looks like you have a blind pull attached to your roof. Like you can pull on it, and a blind will unroll.

    I'd ditch it.

    PS.
Honestly, I swear I'm NOT against modifications. I just don't like the look of that.

    Do you no
Do you not understand that I didn't say what I said in hopes that you will fix/change anything? I just pointed out how bad the finished product looked.

Eugene, you gave your opinion now on how you feel the car looks. It ends there, calling another forum member names gets you nowhere on Priuschat. I suggest it be dropped from this post on.

Also Ragz, cursing on PC, even with replacing letters with $%^, doesn't cut it.

Ok, I hope that's over with, so we can go back to the topic. o_O

So I bought one, not sure if I was going to like it...... But I'd have to say, I like it.
Great quality and the color matched nicely.

Looks good, Chris. Now that you've deleted the rear wiper, have you considered shaving off the washer nozzle and re-mounting the roof spolier along that strip covering the hole?

Thanks Rob, you're right. I need to shave off the washer nozzle. But I never thought about using the spoiler to cover up the hole...Good idea.
I'd rather just fill the hole and leave the spoiler where it is. I like the way it shades the back window. LOL

I think it looks better installed lower on the roof line.

But then it screws up the whole windshield nozzle and wiper fluid spray set up.

So even though I think it looks better, I still have to say I don't think it's worth the work. To me a modification has to really be a either a functional or visual PLUS...and this modification adds little or nothing functionally, infact arguably with a wiper deletion and removal of the spray head it becomes a negative in the function department. And even though I think the lower mounting looks better, it still isn't adding enough visually to me to make the whole operation worth it.

    But as always carry on...

Not where I live where it's utterly useless. I haven't used it in the nearly 4 years I've had the car and don't plan to as it's now deleted :) In fact, it cleans only a small part of the hatch so you might as well not use it as it looks better a little dirty throughout. Same with the useless headlight washers where they do little but spray fluid all over the hood and windshield (and I've pulled the fuse to them).

Yep, that's fine. I understand. I happen to live in the Northwest. We just had a week that was absolutely perfect Spring weather...unbeatable. Followed mercurially today by a return to weather that could easily be mistaken for the middle of fall or winter.

In my climate, IMO the absence of the rear wiper and sprayer really isn't a good option to embrace.

I don't use the sprayer much myself. But I DO use the wiper from time to time. With the horizontal nature of the Prius back hatch window to maintain good visibility I have to use it.

But I fully understand climates where the use might be far less needed and/or peoples desire to simply clean up the rear hatch "look" by deleting the utilitarian looking wiper.

Looks like the same one I added on last year:

I routed out the center to fit over the washer, then smoothed with black silicone. The angle of the spoilers do not match exactly, but they are close enough that it looks nice. No real effect on rain, etc.

We actually discussed this at Toyotafest and came up with its true purpose. The spoiler mounted below the washer will cause the fluid to splash up on to the window of whoever might be tailgating you. It's brilliant!!!

What color is it? I'll take it if it's white or black, or may even wrap it if not. And I'm in OC too

Was it easy to wrap it in carbon? I've got a ton of 3M 1080 left over so I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
