I tried searching, but didn't find what I was looking for (I know forum search engines can be a little weird sometimes). Anyway, I picked up a 2010 III last night, and while am figuring things out as I go (no manuals), I have 2 questions that I hope are pretty simple. 1. How do I get the audio info (radio stations, bluetooth song artist info, whatever I have it set to) to stay on the display, and not automatically switch back to the map all the time? I don't want/need the map up all the time, and I don't want to have to turn the screen off and then hit "audio" every time I want to see the audio info. I've tried what I can find, but it always defaults back to the map after a short time. 2. What kinds of CD's are supported? I pulled a "data" CD with about 50 songs on it from one of my other cars and put it in the Prius. It did recognize the CD and would play, but would only recognize that there were 8 songs on it?
I can answer this one for you, as I just did it myself. Go to SETUP and select GENERAL. Then select AUTO SCREEN CHANGE and select OFF. Then it will remain on the screen selected until changed manually.
Thank you. I feel like a complete idiot. That's actually the first thing I tried, BUT I apparently forgot to hit "save" after I turned it off. When I looked tonight, it was "on" again, so I made sure to save the change and all is well now on that front.
Glad to hear it worked out for you. There are all kinds of little things that I am learning on a daily basis on this vehicle, so definitely don't feel stupid. For instance, I have the HDD Display and just recently learned that it can play video on DVD's, but only when the emergency brake is enabled.
