I've just been advised by the security guard (here at work) that my headlights are on.... I parked there over 5 hours ago. Don't they turn off by themselves?

As long as you open the driver door. If you reach in through the passenger side and turn the car on to roll up a window they will not shut off.

Also if you open the drivers door BEFORE you turnoff the car, they never go off.

    oops

That was the mistake. Luckily, they're LED and the battery wasn't drained.

Pat you can turn off the delay, so you can immediately see if the headlights go off. It defaults to 30 seconds, but can be set to 60 and 90 seconds or turned off (0 seconds)

I suspect it will vary by level, Two, Three, or Five, but we both have Threes, so ours should match.

In Setup, choose Vehicle, then scroll down with the double down arrows, and choose Headlamps Auto-off Timer. Then you have your choice of 30, 60 or 90 second delays or off (for a 0 second delay)

    Did that work for you?

I find this video that shows how to adjust the delay, but my software never looks just like this. (I suspect it is a v Five) The ideas are correct if you are not bogged down by details.

PS - Zero seconds actually turns the lights off as soon as you open the door.
