I've just purchased a 2013 Prius Plugin Hybrid Advanced. I live in an apartment building where the garage door opener uses a code to match remotes to opener. I've tried the instructions in the manual to no avail. Does anyone know how to program the garage door opener involving a multi digit code? Thank You. Roger Meyer (Otherwise, I love the PiP, so far.
If you call the number (should be listed in the manual) for HomeLink, and provide the make and model of your apartment's door operator, they should be able to help you. I've dealt with them on the phone and found them to be very helpful. Good luck.
In my manual on p. 333 (Canadian model) it states: It didn't work for me or it was a typo. The HomeLink should be pressed for 5sec. Try it!
Yes. Search PC for "homelink" and you should find info on the maker of OEM equipment. If you read any car mags, they advertise in them. Probably available on Amazon and auto stereo shops. For lots of $$ the dealer where you got your car.
The U.S. manual also indicates looking for a change in the rate the light flashes. Go by this and not counting seconds.
I've had several cars with HomeLink. Even when reading the instructions several times, it confusing. Make sure you put you door opener in the "learning mode" (button on the opener). Follow the instructions, and it's always worked for me without outside help.
