Yes, Also after the update what version of the Nav software they gave u? There is two update, MAP and Entune, so not sure if dealer include the MAP update.
I just picked up my car from the dealer and although the paperwork listed the old TSB (T-SB-0030-12) the version of Entune when I checked on the Setup screen was the correct 2.2.0.
Still the Bing bug with the missing destination side hasn't been fixed meaning any POI entered from Bing does not get its side of the street announced. Weird.
For the version of your NAV.... I think you can find it by doing this. Or at least, this is how I did it Press Setup on right side of Nav, General System information (should be last one in entry) Please let me know if this works for you.
Yeah I gotta find some time to bring it in. If I bought my car a month after 2.2 was released, shouldn't they have updated it?!
Never assume the dealership will do anything. Just because you bought the car a month after doesn't mean they ever did one to know about it. It sat on the lot for a bit too.
I had it in service for them to install remote start and the rubber floor mats just before I saw this thread
I was just at the Toyota dealer and they tried to charged me $160 to upgrade it. I told them I don't want to get my maps updated. JUST the entune 2.2 version ONLY and they insist that it wasn't free.
yeah i know lol. I told them that too but the service guy argued with me about it and still trying to charge me $160 for it. Is there a link or something where i can print the TSB and bring it to them so they can stop being idiots?
And i just left toyota dealer too because i was trying to get my 5000 miles service. They really rubbed me the wrong way today. The service guys first told me that it would take a day or 2 for them to finish with the service but wouldn't give me a rental car. I told him how am i suppose to go anywhere now since i'm dropping it off for them to service it? Then i asked them about the Entune update and thats when they tried to charge me $160 lol.
Ourisman Toyota in Fairfax Virginia where i got my car from. I'm about to call them right now and complaint about it.
Call them and said it is in TSB, FREE WARRANTY REPAIR T-SB-0051-13 March 26, 2013 Update software to version 2.2.0 per Service Bulletin T-SB-0026-12, “Entune/Navigation Software Update Process for Display Audio (Non-HDD Type)”. Something is seriously wrong here.... I just got off the phone with Toyota Customer Care and they told me that this isn't free. It is not part of the warranty and Toyota dealer is charging $169 to update this. I'm like beyond pissed right now.
She told me that the previous version 2.1.0 which they sent out to the customers via USB has minor updates to it. This 2.2.0 version is the mega updates but can't tell me why it isn't free anymore. Doesn't make any freaking sense to me.
I guess i need to call all the local toyota dealers around here and maybe they will tell me different.
