or Toyotas of any kind are in Hungary, Austria, Czechoslovakia, Germany. In 14 days there, saw more Maserati (3) and Ferrari (4) than Prius cars (3). And less than .5% Toyotas of any ilk. Did see 2 Lexus billboards. Not a single v in any form. Did visit the BMW museum and they are doing Hybrids. Lots of Diesel and my friends explained no surcharge over gas.
If I can get a small diesel that gets ~50 mpg, I wouldn't want to pay extra for a Prius. 0-62 in 13 seconds is not a problem when I do my driving in small city streets where high torque makes the car seem agile.
The price difference between US and Canada is too much. In addition many US states have incentives and we have nothing :-/ Here in Alberta they want to sell oil and Prius is not "oil friendly"
You see lots of them in Victoria BC. Both initial purchase price and Gas price are higher than in the US and one offsets the other on purchase decisions.
