Dianne!! Sorry, I just find the audacity of a possible fellow employee damaging another fellow employees car like this and leaving irreprehensible.
So, apparently the building's cameras were not pointed in the correct direction at the time. Which means that they are rather useless. My deductible is $200 due to it being a "hit and run". Argh. I might as well enjoy the weekend, it's only cosmetic after all...
Dang, sorry to hear you couldn't perhaps find out who did it. Unless you see a car in the lot with the same color paint that was left on your bumper... Take a stroll during lunch perhaps. Like already mentioned, have several drinks tomorrow and enjoy the day, don't let this bring ya' down.
Did you get your bumper fixed, and was it replaced or just repaired? Mine was injured (deep dent in the passenger side corner which I think will require a new bumper) in a parking lot incident on Friday and the other guy's insurance is going to pay for it. I have an appointment with their body shop tomorrow and I am just looking for numbers to compare since I am guessing they'll try to give me as little money as possible (they give me money, I can get it fixed wherever I want). I want to make sure that what they offer me will cover a new bumper.
My BMW was parked in a garage and someone backed into it and denting the rear bumper. Someone left a note on my window they witnessed the accident. Said it was an old lady with reddish white hair and her plate number and there phone #. My insurance tracked her down and interviewed her. She admitted the accident. Said she was nervous so that is why she drove away. Amazing. I did check with the building manager It is an Irvine Company building and they say cameras are only in the entrance and exits.
