I deleted your thread about this in the Prius v forums. Next time please report you posted in the wrong area instead of just reposting it. Thank you Sorry to see the damage! People can suck...
Could have been a lot worse, at least that is repairable and the bumper did its job during the parking lot bumper-cars incident. Sucks though, I would be angry.
The other guy has insurance right? Just find a reputable body shop and it should be easily repairable. I'm going through body repairs that was caused by another party as well. Mine is only one month old and 1k miles
Definitely sounds a lot worse than it is. Your Prius will be back to new in no time. I bet the person that ran into your car felt horrible. Definitely a worse day for him. I would imagine the repairs won't add up to much and I doubt your car will be in the shop long.
It is a shame. But if you worry about it too much, it'll drive you nuts. So get it fixed, hopefully by the other guy's insurance company and move on. Then bump uglies in the back seat of the car with your partner and all is good. That sure does it for me. And maybe buy yourself something nice for your car. Mike
Just got my car from the shop literally 10 min ago and I'm whole again. Was down bc of the damage, but with it looking like new again, and knowing the other insurance is gonna reimburse, I'm happy. So don't feel too down OP, you'll be ok
I'm not worried about it. It just sucks. The lady did have insurance though. Some considerable damage to the fender, and it's also one piece that goes over the doors to the A frame, so it ain't gonna be cheap. It's going to the dealer; I've had some subpar jobs done at insurance recommended body shops.
Just bc it's a dealer shop doesn't mean they're quality. In CA you can choose to take your car anywhere, not just ins recommended. Make sure you do a yelp search and other research before you drop it off wherever.
Major bummer dude. I was very upset when I got my first door ding last summer. Sorry to hear about it.
