Folks, I have an SGII (firmware 4.02) that never showed a negative IGN (not even in stage s1a) before I cleaned the MAF sensor (which wasn't noticeably dirty, just thought I would clean it at 48K miles). Now it does show negative IGN in stage s1a but the value is not the constant -5 that I remember reading somewhere it should show in s1a. It varies among -1, -6, -2, etc. Anyone else see this behavior? If not, what values do you see in s1a? Before I cleaned the MAF sensor (took it out, sprayed CRC cleaner and put it back in), I would see a - AFTER the RPM number in s1a, but now I don't see the dash anymore there, but before the IGN number, but what causes concern to me now is that the number varying in s1a. Looking again at Frank's post above, I see a chart that shows IGN settings lower than -5 based on coolant temp. Frank: is the coolant temperature shown on the map, the temperature at the start of s1a or does it show the IGN varying on the fly as the coolant temp increases during s1a? Thanks.
