I spoke to people about this. Amazing that the thought of actually searching the forum for such a simple task never even crossed my mind!! ;-) I will definitely check it out. Thanks!

I got my Prius from them too. Not the most sociable sales people, but hey they got me the best deal without any BS. Looks like I won't be taking my car there for service though. Good thing I have a technician buddy that works at Longo. It's free oil/filter, might as well have him do it. I'll start doing my own when the 25k miles are up :D

I'm curious to know how your nephew is able to do the recalls.

When the part goes bad, he will get it from Toyota and install it. It will be out of my pocket but I will not have to see a stealer again.

Ah. Principle is such a slippery slope. I'm sure your nephew thanks his lucky stars that you didn't buy a Tundra. Replacing that frame would probably have been a bitch.

My other nephew took his tundra to Jack Sherman Toyota for the frame recall. They called him and said it was ready and come and get it. He never made the 25 mile trip home before the drive shaft fell out.

    Dan,

You need to go back and raise some HELL, even if you don't plan on going back to them for any future service. At least this may help others who continue to utilized this dealership. Write to corporate about the incident too. Lucky for me, I found a trusted mechanic who is meticulous about servicing cars.,
