Congratulations on your purchase Socal13. Yes, this was one of my harder deals from my prior ones. My poor salesman has to work for this deal. But I appreciate him making it work for me. The "softex" faux leather seats sold my wife on the deal. *lol* It is easier to clean than cloth!!! :) I sometimes like to drink coffee in the car and you know, it's a real pain when you spill a little here and there.
Yes, it feels just like when I first got my 2005 Seaside Blue. One of the few Priuses out there... and now they're like everywhere. But with the new Black Cherry, I get some attention again *hahaha* *lol*

Out of curiosity - anyone try sticking a "full size" spare in this model prius yet - even a 15" oem wheel/tire?

DH and I bought this car a week ago today. My first Prius (we traded in a Honda Civic Hybrid). We looked at others in the lot and were unsure. None of the colors appealed to me. Then we walked into the showroom and saw this. Wow! It took awhile to negotiate the price to where we wanted it to be (these are a "rare bird", according to the dealership), but we're really happy with it. It drives great, and has tech toys for me to play with.

So far I'm getting just over 50 mpg in a mix of highway and town driving, and I couldn't be more pleased.

Congrats! I really like mine too! The color really pops and the interior is good looking, not to mention the 17" wheels. This is my second Prius (2010 III) and I am completely sold on them. I can't see not having a Prius in my garage!

Sweet pics :) Glad to see you showing it off finally :) The first two pics really came out nice (nicer than mine with the snow *lol*)
Got a shark fin for my car - just waiting on the weather and some time to spare to install it.

Whooo Happy to hear another happy Prius Owner!!!! Yes, I was told it was a "rare bird" too... If you looked at my previous posts - it took awhile to get a decent trade in for my previous 2011 Prius - unlike my Previous 2005 and 2008 Prius trade-ins - this one was a bit more difficult. But well worth it.

There are a lot of Prii here in the L.A. area but I still have not seen another black cherry on the road. I do get lots of admiring looks at mine.

Thanks! I'm totally loving it. Debating a plus package install and ground effects kit but I can't find it in the Black Cherry Pearl color. Anybody done mods to their persona yet?

Only mod is the sharkfin which I still have yet to get pics of. Consider that the Persona series already comes with 17" alloys prior to adding the Plus Package - and they are pretty much the same except maybe the color. And I *think* it has some new sound thingy for the electric/low speed driving. It might be cheaper just having your suspension tuned and the sway bar added seperately. Just something to be aware of. I am not sure about the body kit mods, however.

I am still pondering the idea of replacing the OEM 17"s with my Enkei RPF1 - 16"s from my previous 2011 Prius. Even the Enkei RPF1 - 17"s are still far lighter than the OEM 17"s.

I purchased mine with the appearence package. Installed a Clear Bra and rear OEM rubber cargo mat. The dealer ordered the TRD springs, anti-sway bar and Homelink Mirror today. Will have them installed at my 5,000 service in three weeks... Can't wait! I absolutely love this car!

You'll love the look with Plus springs..

Interesting aspect with the sway bar upgrade. On the trailing arm, the sway bar is basically stiffener.

The ride is firmer and less floaty.. but tolerable. Handling def. flatter as well. Mine with Plus springs.

Depending on the type of driving you do the weight reduction from the Enkeis might not help if they stick out much further than the OE wheels and are much less aerodynamic. At low speed stop and go driving it could help though. Assuming you get a very LRR 16" tire. :)
