You're the second white Persona I know. How is your average MPG? Mine is around 46-48, maybe due to most likely street commute of 12 miles daily driving.

You're doing better than me.. check out my fuelly log.. I am doing better now though.. my guess is up to 47-48mpg now.. SF area is hilly and not so great for mpg.

2nd white Persona? no way.. as I bought the last one.. ;)

:)I removed the front license plate and mount and lowered it to the lowest point on the front grill (3-4"). Others have done this and I liked the look. When I removed the license plate holder, installed at the dealer, I knew I had two holes to plug. I also had two fairly large dimples from the screws I use to mount my license tag. I knew plugs were available online, but I checked Lowes and they sell different plugs and plastic fasteners for vehicles. I picked up several types, but the plugs I used were the smallest size plugs they sold, that were round and tapered (72 cents each). Tight fit getting them in, but I didn't want to enlarge the existing holes. They were black plastic, and I used Toyota touch up paint to match the bumper cover color, turned out well. I was unsure how to resolve the two dimples, and finally decided to use a heat gun. I was very careful to get the rubber cover hot enough to reshape itself without damage, or damaging or blistering the paint. I surprised myself and the two dimples are barely noticeable and no need for any additional repairs. Very noticeable in the first two pics, but not in the last. I was unsure how to remount the tag, but I lowered it as low as possible. Contour across the top, and the two clips work perfectly on the bottom, while maintaining a near vertical look. I did use a hot glue gun and placed three spots of glue on the inside bottom edge, and a piece of wire to hold the top flush to the lower front bumper. Why lower the tag? I really like the front of the 2012-2013 Prius, especially the upper grill opening. Since Virginia requires a front tag, the lower the plate, the better it looks. Also, with a Plug In, less cool air flow in the winter should help EV mileage (I hope). Anyone who doesn't want a damaged front bumper cover, this method will work, whether permanent of just temporary. Ten minutes to install or uninstall as long as there's no bumper cover holes or damage to deal with.

I'm heading up to Sean's place in Palmdale, CA this Saturday to install my led mirrors and under car lights...I'm selling my new and original carpeted floor mats and carpeted cargo mat, also original Toyota Prius with logos that came with my car when I bought it new in March. Let me know if you're interested so I could bring them with me. PM me! $100 OBO for everything! We should do a dinner meet or something (or lunch if Sean and I finish early)! image.jpg image.jpg

:) No. As stated, I used hot glue on the bottom portion and safety wire for the top. I use hot glue a lot, it's tough as nails but can be removed if necessary (with effort) without damage.

Hello All, nice mods coming along for the summer everyone. I finally did a wiper delete with MOD (master of mods) Rodney. I went to two Lowes around my area, and the people who worked at Lowes were from Mars. They did not know what the hell I was talking about, I even showed them the UPC code on the plug, and they said "there is no home for it, its in our system but not on the floor". So I went to Home Depot and they had many in stock, in the Hardware section by all the screws. Looks so much cleaner. Rodney, Sean, and Chris I have joined your wiper delete gang!

Welcome to the club! I painted mine in 202 Black. As glass is glossy, I figured painting it glossy black would stand out less on black car.

nice find with the plugs at Lowe's.. I been looking for those.. I guess the PIP bumper has that chrome insert as it looks like we mounted it on the same level.

Did forcing in that plug open up the hole more..

Right now, I have a pair is painted white screw covers on there. I want it more flush like your's but don't want to open up the holes even more.

I am really considering doing this. I like the clean line not interrupted by an ugly wiper.

Sorry, the AGT LEDs are the parking lights only (and map, puddle, license plate). The low beam projectors are Xenon Supply 6000K HIDs.

Today I added Philips Crystal Vision Ultra halogen high beams because they are a closer match to my HIDs. Truth is, there is barely a difference between them and the OEM halogens. They are a little whiter, but nowhere near 4000K let alone 6000K. Probably not worth the $28, although there is an improvement. Here's the before and after:

Before, OEM high beams, XS HID projectors and AGT LED Parking lights:

After. I left the hood up so i could be sure which pic was which, color was that close by eye:

:)Thanks! Looks like the same level. The license frame is touching the lower front lip.

No. I intentionally didn't want to enlarge the holes.

:eek:They were a tight fit. I used a little motor oil on the plugs to get them in. The bumper cover is thick and not very pliable.
