I have a 2013 Prius Three with the standard non-JBL sound system. From the beginning, I noticed the sound from the speakers to be somewhat muffled. I've tried CD, satellite, and HD Radio. I know this might sound weird, but I also feel slight pressure build up in my ears. This is when the windows are all rolled up. I'm not changing elevation that drastically, so it's strange. Does anyone else experience this as well in their Prius? Are there certain sound settings anyone can recommend to improve the sound quality? Thanks in advance.
On our 2013 Persona, FM + CD + iPOD all sound lousy, but magically the SAT sounds really good. I wonder if this is a marketing ploy to get you to subscribe to the SAT?!? Anyhow, will be looking into a Sub / alternate speaker setup.
iPod and radio have different EQ settings, make sure to adjust both, also make sure your iPod has normal EQ on the Pod itself and not enhanced.
On my Persona, I found FM and SAT to sound the worse. Everything else is not bad. I think my treble and bass are 3 clicks away from max.
Thanks! Didn't know this and will definitely check this out. (Read the Manual Eric....Read the Manual)
what is this HD setting you are talking about? I tried to change setting on both car and ipod. but it's never perfect, I keep having to change the tremble and middle every 2, 3 songs. even so, it's still hard to hear some background drum and trumpet, unless I rise the volume way up.
I just posted this in another thread, but I took the capacitors of the tweeters and that made it a lot better.. swyped from my Note II with Taptalk 4
