Smart phone holders

    Hey everyone, new here. Love my Prius C. Appreciate all the great information on this forum! Any good ideas on a smart phone holder for the car? I don't like the phone holder that clips in the AC vent. I currently have one that plugs into the power outlet but the arm doesn't stick out far enough to clear the dash. It's hard to find something cost effective and functional. Can anyone post some pics and links for a good phone holder that has worked well? Thanks in advance!

    I use the proclip one and love it. I put it in between the vents and doesn't block it much.

    Thanks! I think I'll end up getting one of these....only the clip and phone holders are sold separate...which is a bit expensive but it looks like the combo works well.

    Yah. It is pretty pricey compared to other options but the quality and design make it worth it. You can buy different clips if u ever want to put a tablet on there also.

    The proclip base is a nice setup, but remember it uses the "AMPS" mounting hole pattern, so you can buy a cheaper phone holder portion off eBay if you wanted.

    If you don't know about the "AMPS" mounting, it is an industry standard for the mounting hole spacing. If you look at the base portion of the proclip you will see four mounting holes that are spaced 1.18" apart and many other mounts use that"AMPS" spacing, so don't think you are stuck using their $30 phone mount portion. image.jpg

    Bought the cell phone holder from Wal-Mart, attached plastic base to passenger side of center console and it sits pretty nice, no idea how long it will last....pics to come

    I ordered the pro clip. but while cruising at the best buy got some generic holder for 16 bucks. and it works just fine. clips into the air vent just to the right of the steering wheel. I know the pro clip is a beautiful thing, but upwards of 108 bucks seemed overkill. I'm saving that money for led dangling dice that hang from the mirror.... just kidding.
