I recently cracked the touch screen on my MFD. The display still worked, but some of the touch controls on the various screens would not work if they were under the area that was cracked. As everyone knows, a dealer replacement for the MFD unit is very expensive. I considered replacing the unit with a salvage unit, but most were in rough shape, so I decided to see if I could just replace the LCD screen.
After some internet research, I found that it is quite easy to take the dash apart and remove the MFD unit. Any one interested can search YouTube for numerous instructional videos. Many are for replacing the stereo system, but show you what you need to do.
After removing the MFD unit, I carefully removed it from the plastic bezel. The unit consists of a multi-part metal frame that holds several circuit boards and the LCD screen. Again I carefully disassembled this unit, bagging the screws and brackets for each step to aid in reassembly.
The whole process was relatively easy if you are familiar with working on electronic components like computers etc. Once dissembled, I found the part number for the LCD. It is made by Toshiba. The part number on mine was:
    Toshiba LTA070B510F

Once again doing some internet searching I found that this part is available on AliExpress, whic is the equivalent of Ebay in China. Here is a link:
Free DHL/EMS Shipping New Car Navigation Display Screen by Toshiba LTA070B511F w/ Touch Screen Digitizer Lens(LONG NARROW CABLE)-in LCD Modules from Electronic Components & Supplies on Aliexpress.com
Be aware that evidently there are several models 510F, 511F, 512F, 513F, 514F that are all interchangeable. The important feature is the type of ribbon cable that connects the LCD to the circuit board. In my case it was the long narrow cable that is shown on the above link. The price for the new LCD is $185 including shipping. I ordered it from Niro Digital Technology via AliExpress. The whole process was as easy as Ebay. Customer service was excellent and the shipping was fast. I got the LCD in a week via DHL. I reassembled the MFD Unit and put it back in the car. Everything worked without a hitch! The unit functions like new again.
I hope this helps someone else that has the misfortune of cracking their MFD touch screen LCD.
I attached a couple of pics so you can get an idea of what the MFD assembly looks like. This is a cost effective fix if you are willing to take a little time and care to do it. Good Luck!

Great info on the Toshiba PN. If you had disassembled it that far, why not just replace the resistive overlay instead of the actual LCD panel + overlay?

It appeared to me that the overlay was sealed to the LCD and would be a bear to remove. Also, I could not figure out a part number or source for just the overlay. I decided that replacing the whole LCD unit was the most reasonable cost, highest probability of success that I could do.

Indeed, excellent info! I, too, ordered from this supplier and the cost at this time was $160 including shipping. Delivery was very fast, and replacement was straightforward enough.

I did have a bit of trouble finding my way through to the touchscreen calibration screen, but I got there. This thread links ot a couple of ways to do it.
